WebAudit: Audit Process |
The WebAudit setup process is launched prior to displaying the main WebAudit page.
WebAudit currently supports the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. Other browsers have not been certified and may not work correctly.
Microsoft .NET Framework verification; WebAudit is a .NET control and therefore requires that a supported version of Microsoft's .NET Framework to be installed on the client computer prior to performing a WebAudit. If a supported .NET version is not detected, you'll have the option to connect to Microsoft's website to perform the download and install. You may also install this component using the Windows Update feature.
Browser Settings; WebAudit is a .NET control and therefore requires the browser to have a "Trust" established, allowing you to display and interact with the WebAudit control. The "Proceed" button downloads the required file which must be "Run" to initiate the correct command line parameters prior to displaying the WebAudit control. If the WebAudit control is attempted to be displayed prior to successful completion of this step, it will not be displayed and will require the computer to be rebooted and for this step to be performed successfully in order to display the WebAudit control successfully.
IP Settings; WebAudit uses the IP settings configured on the Account Settings page to query IP's on the network. If these settings contain the default Multicast value of 255.255.255.255 with no other IP's or ranges assigned, you'll be prompted to initiate the discovery process. Upon completion of the discovery process, you'll be prompted to edit the IP settings before proceeding. Selecting the Yes button displays the Account Settings page.
