TCO Report: Calculations |
TCO Calculations:
TCO Costs are calculated based on
several options the user selects for the analysis period.
The Purchase Costs, Consumable Costs and Audit information are used to represent
the CPP.
The TCO CPP cannot be 100% accurate due to the lack of information regarding when each toner cartridge has been replaced (we currently use the average values calculated based on OEM Yield and Historical coverage).
Purchase Costs:
1. User Custom interface inserted Mono & Color CPP values are used if the user
selects the option “Site is on a Cost-per-Page program; Let me specify the rate
to apply to all printers, copiers and MFP's”
2. All other options, either use Dealer/Supplier values for the CPP, or MSRP.
Service Costs Apply to the Volume Printed for each Consumable. Service Supply rates apply per labor hour, and the amount of hours should represent the total required to change one unit; e.g. 1.5 hrs for fuser, or 0.5 hrs for toner.
Delivery Costs Is a One Time Apply Cost
and apply per replaced & shipped Unit.
Consumable Costs:
CPP is calculated based on an algorithm that involves Total Mono/Color Pages per
Period,
OEM
Yield / Dealer / Supplier Cartridge Costs, Historical and Yield
Toner Coverage.
Note that ALL Consumable costs are included if present.
In
TCO , the two types of CPPs,
Mono & Color, are calculated separately and a Total CPP joins the two of them.
Depending on the Device Model and available additional information, Color CPP
might be the sum of Mono CPP + Color CPP, or one of them (the one that has enough
data to be processed). On the other hand, CPP uses the Toner Cartridges costs
plus ALL other Consumable as: Drum, Fuser, Imaging Kit, Print Head Kit, as well
as User Custom Values set in
TCO UI.
